President's Day Eagles

Spending President Day with Roger and Jill, we wanted to go see if we could find any bald eagles.  We called Todd's uncle and aunt, Jerry and Lorraine who knew where to look for the eagles.  Farmington Bay was the place to go they said.  "Why don't we go with you!" At first, we didn't know quite know if we would find any birds.  We did see some sea gulls and Canadian geese.  Then we spotted our first eagle.

Jerry is very knowledge about all types of birds.

Todd was an excellent photographer for us.

One of the eagles that we spotted lined up exactly with the Bountiful temple.  Roger called it the "Mormon Eagle" as it pointed the way to the temple.

While we ate our lunch in the car, I spotted two eagles soaring in the sky and watched them land.  After seeing eagles in Alaska, I feel in love watching them.  They are so majestic.

We loved visiting with Lorraine and Jill.

Madelyn's favorite part was playing with the sticks.

It really turned out to be a nice day to be outside since the wind died down.

18 Months

Happy 18 Months! I can't believe just how fast time flies.  We have had so much fun together.  Madelyn is learning and doing something new every day it seems.

When she wants to go outside, she goes and gets her coat, hat, and shoes and brings them over to us.  She loves being outside.

I love her little foot prints.
Maddie Jane loves to be involved.  She enjoys stirring the food and setting the table.

She takes the place mats over to the table, puts them over her head, and slides them on the table.
Then she runs back and takes the silverware I hand her.  She places them on the table.
If I let her, she would put all our sliver ware on the table for dinner.
Then when I bring the vacuum out, she runs and grabs her "vacuum" to help me with it.

We finally got her an official toothbrush.  I was lucky to find both a pink and purple Elmo toothbrush as well as Elmo toothpaste.  Maddie would brush her teeth many times a day if we let her.

On her 18th month birthday, February 13th, it was the first day I observed Madelyn fit the letters of the alphabet in the slots all by herself.  She also said, "nose" and "hand" that day.

Another past time for Maddie is looking and sorting the Christmas cards.  We appreciate all those who sent us one.  It has entertained her several times a day, every day.
She also loved to play with cell phones.  One time we couldn't find Todd's phone until I called it.  Thankfully, we found it in the toy box.

Dad and Mom's Visit

We were so excited to have my parents come visit for a week.

Dad helped us fix our leaking refrigerator as well as was a wonderful grandpa to read and play with Madelyn.

Mom took on a few projects to help improve the house.  Madelyn loved all the time she got with Gramie.

We visited with Grandma Fuller several times during the week.  It is amazing to get four generations together.

After one visit with Grandma Fuller, my parents brought home Grandma's rocking horse.  She wanted Madelyn to have.  Maddie climbed on it and knew exactly what to do.
