A Sunday Afternoon

We had a nice Sunday afternoon.  I enjoyed the internet by catching up with the blog.  Todd is looking online for houses.  It is so fun when we pull up the pictures and get excited.  We are motivated and ready to go look 4:30pm tomorrow!  We did try to use Skype this afternoon, but had some slow internet connections, so didn't really work. We apologize to all those we tried and didn't get through.
I wanted to show off my Charming Charlies flower headband.  I have gotten numerous compliments over the past few weeks on pretty much everything I got! Thanks for the fun times at the Sisters Retreat!

Halloween Costumes

Here's the costumes we were for the Branch Halloween party.  I also wore my costume to work on Halloween for that party.  Now the stories behind the costumes.  Thanks to my great sister-in-law, Louise, who has already been thinking of us and giving us clothes, I wanted to use the Yoda ears, even though they are made for a kid.  Since I wanted to be a female version, I was Yoda's Mom.  I came up with name of Yetta.  Then I used my brother's knowledge of Jedi's and Star Wars to create a Jedi looking costume.  Thanks David for your knowledge and Mom for the robe.
The story with Todd's costume.  He was a Hidden Meadows Mold Removal Specialist.  Last March, we discovered that we had some mold problems---half a wall was torn down, new sheet rock, cleaned the carpet, 2 weeks later, etc.  So Todd wanted to dedicate his costume to all the residents in Hidden Meadows apartments that had to deal with the mold.

Halloween Bash!

While the men attended a Weber St. football game, Jill threw the best Halloween bash! I was glad I got an invite! Everyone got to pick their own pumpkin from the field and decorate them.

Then as the paint dried, I was well entertained by the numerous trampoline tricks.
For dinner, we had delicious BBQ sandwiches.

Afterwards, we played Boo Bingo with excellent prizes!
But the best game was the spider races! You had to blow through a straw to make your fuzzy spider slide across the floor.

Lafe, with a strong determination to win, decided to just start blowing without the straw so he could win!  Everyone ended up being a winner as we all got ice cream sundaes.  Thanks Jill for the great party!

Fall Fun

One of my new favorite things to do during fall season is go hike Stewart Falls and see the leaves.  I first did this hike with Russ and McKay a few years ago when they came out to visit.  So Todd and I tried the hike again around the same time and loved seeing the rainbow of colors.

Once we arrived at the falls, we pulled our cold pizza and had a great picnic! What a fun FHE!

Sister's Retreat

Last weekend, I took a few days off and flew to Texas to visit family.  All my sisters were there plus my wonderful sister-in-law Jenny even got to come too.  I enjoyed playing with Bryce, Spencer, and Trevor too.

We ate, passed around, and tried lots of yummy Cheesecake Factory desserts.
Afterwards, we took a lovely walk along the riverwalk.  I got a little wet in these fountions.
 We enjoyed outdoor walks.

We enjoyed lots of fun with the aunts and nephews.
As well as lots of shopping, jewelry, food, fun, and laughs.
We enjoyed lunch in downtown Bryan and drove by the old Queens theater, a memory from Grandpa and Grandma Fuller.

Plus, Jon showed up for pizza, soccer, games, and football.
It was a fantastic family weekend! Wait, there's more: I got to skype my parents too! Such a nice time to see everyone. We love you!

Visiting Grandma Shurtz

While Grandma Shurtz was in town, we stopped at Uncle Mike and Aunt Lisa's home for a fun visit.  We swapped Alaskan cruise stories, heard about her birthday parties, and ate treats.  We laughed at the great stories told and enjoyed the memories shared about Grandpa Shurtz.
We love you Grandma!

Fisher Family Pictures

A few weekends ago, we gathered everyone together at a park in Ogden.  Louise was our amazing photographer and still had time to run and include herself in the picture! Thank Louise!  Afterward, we had a little picnic.

Flaming Gorge part III

We saw a lot of hawks while in the Flaming Gorge area.
Chris had a great view of one.
Saturday morning, we headed to Brownie Lake to try our luck at fishing again.  Once again, we found more beauty.
Most of the time, Jill and I enjoyed the view.  We did watch Roger pull one in.
I even did a few casts into the lake.
Todd and I saw deer in this spot.
Lafe enjoyed getting into Grandpa's tackle box.  We headed back to camp, ate lunch, and packed up.  Instead of going straight home, we decided to take the long way home.  We drove through the Sheep Creek Canyon Geographical Area.

We didn't see sheep, but did see goats.  Maybe they should change the name.

 The Tower rock formation
We liked the different rock color layers with the blue sky background.
We also drove the Mirror Lake Scenic Highway Drive, stopping at Mirror Lake for a dinner picnic.
The scene at the lake was very welcoming, yet the mosquitoes were not.  So back in the car and headed home.  It was a wonderful trip!
