Maddie Jane has a wonderful day, even when it is a just normal day. She wakes up and spends a few minutes watching Daddy eat his breakfast. Then she eats and goes on a stroll ride while Mommy runs on the Provo River trail. Madelyn loves to see the beautiful blue sky with the bright fall leaves contrasting.
When Daddy comes home for lunch, he reads books to her or plays with her. She slightly raises her right eyebrow and gives her parents a funny look, when they do something silly to entertain her. Madelyn loves to be sung to, and even throws in a little laugh when Daddy sings his verse of "Old McDonald".
Madelyn is learning how to hold objects in her hands. So far, she has grabbed her Mommy's hoodie drawstring, Mommy's hair, and her toys. Also, she practices holding her neck up and being on her knees. When she gets tired, she does a face plant. That's when you know she is ready to pass out in her swing.
Madelyn shares many sweet smiles with everyone she meets.
But around 6:30pm, she gets fussy and knows exactly what time it is. Her cries are like a bird's squawking, "Ah, Ahhh"(but in a higher pitch). Bath time! As soon as she hears the water going in the bathroom, Maddie calms down. She enjoys splashing her legs in the tub, and always has a content look on her face Afterwards, she loves to be rubbed down with lotion. Then with a late night snack, she is off to sleep.

Hay Ride to the Pumpkin Patch
Maddie took her first hay ride around 2 months with the Fisher family.
The hay ride took us out to the Fisher's pumpkin patch and we all picked as many as we could!
Then we loaded them up on the wagon and headed back to the house.
After we ate pizza for dinner, we painted out pumpkins, played halloween BINGO and...
competited in the Spider Race games.
Madelyn was passed around from uncles to aunts to cousins to Grandpa and Grandma.
During the hayride, we had a surprise visitor jump out at us. You can guess who it was.

General Conference Weekend-Sunday
Sunday after Conference, Mike and Ta came for a family dinner and to visit.
With such a beautiful weather, we just had to take the boys and Madelyn outside to visit.
It doesn't happen too often when I get three siblings in my house at once. I am getting spoiled. Thanks for visiting!

General Conference Weekend-Saturday
Saturday morning, we had a big breakfast, snuggled up to stay warm, and watched conference.
Afterwards, we headed up to Provo Canyon to hike Big Springs Hollow. The golden leaves were everywhere.
David, Russ, Lauren, Todd, Madelyn, and I enjoyed the hike.
I loved seeing the rainbow of leaves!
It was Maddie's first hike. She loved the colors and hiking with her cousin Lauren.
The hike just would not have been complete without a stop for BYU ice cream.
When the guys attended Priesthood session, Lauren and I did a Fall Fashion Shoot for Maddie Jane.
Madelyn's first Autumn
It's Autum time, it's Autumn time, the leaves are falling down...
General Conference Weekend-Friday
Russ and Lauren came to Utah for conference. We enjoyed them and were honored to host them.
Friday morning, we took a jog on the Provo River trail. It is highly recommended with its scenic path of Provo river, fall leave colors, mountain views, etc.
Then Russ treated us to a feast of a lunch at Brick Oven Pizza.
Afterwards, we toured Legacy Hall, and BYU campus. That night, Russ, Lauren, and David cheered for the cougars at the BYU football game.

Daddy's Little Girl
From the moment Madelyn was born,
Todd has adored his little girl.
Todd loves to give Madelyn baths. He helps her splash in the water, kick her legs, and do slip n' slide in the tub.
Todd loves to make silly noises and faces to make her smile. The first time she made a laughing noise was when Todd made a funny face while brushing his teeth.
When Todd plays with her, he likes to say, "Stick 'em up, this is the police" when Madelyn puts both of her hands up.
Todd loves his sleep, so does Madelyn. They definitely share
that in common.
A few nights ago, Madelyn woke up crying around 1 AM. Normally, I crawl out of bed to get her while Todd sleeps. This time, Todd hops out of bed before I could. I thought, "Why is Todd up in the middle of the night getting Madelyn?" He said, "I never got to see her awake during the day since I was gone to work most of it. I wanted to see her awake." What a sweet gesture.
I can see where Todd gets it from.
The video is Madelyn waving to you and even throws in a wink!
Madelyn's Blessing
We blessed Madelyn in church on Sep 30th. I am so grateful for Todd, that he is a worthy Priesthood holder and that he could have the special opportunity to bless our daughter. He performed a wonderful blessing for little Maddie Jane. She wore the same dress as one of her cousins, Hailey, worn. The blanket, that Madelyn was wrapped up in, was a white blanket I brought in Bethlehem while I was doing my study aboard in Israel.
Mommy got Madelyn dressed, and Daddy walked her over to the church.
After sacrament meeting, we had a lunch to visit with the family. We had great grandmas, grandma and grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts, great uncles, etc.
We were so blessed to have many come to support and welcome Maddie.
It was a beautiful sunny day, perfect for a lunch outside in our backyard.
Madelyn did not make a sound while she was blessed, nor did she cry during Sacrament meeting. She is a good little girl.
Great Grandma Fisher, Grandpa Fisher, Todd, and Madelyn---4 generations of Fishers
Our happy little family!
Endnote: Madelyn did not get her normal naps during the day in her bassinet, since she was passed around person to person wanting to hold her. By the end of the day, I could tell she was tired. She slept for 7 hours straight! Mommy loved having a night's sleep of no interruptions!
