Christmas

Madelyn is starting to understand what packing means.  I asked her what she wanted to take to Papa and Grandma's over Christmas, and this is what she brought me.
Fortunately, she only smuggled three stuff animals into the car.

Christmas Eve was the Fisher party.
Christmas morning was fun to open presents.  Madelyn got a kitchen set.

We woke up to a white Christmas.  While the kids were napping, Todd and I went out to play in the snow.

On Christmas Day evening, we had an Hawaiian themed Christmas party.  It was complete with leis, Hawaiian music, Hawaiian haystacks, crafts, goodies, bingo, etc.
Making a snowman out of marshmallows and other goodies.
That night, Maddie had her first cousin sleep over, as Olivia slept over.  Those two had a great time together.

Some of the best gifts this year were...

December

Ethan turned 2 months old and started to smile more!  He is in the 90th percentile for his height and weight and is a wonderful sleeper during the night.

Todd went with the Young Men and Women from our ward to see the Lights on Temple Square.
He got some great pictures! How beautiful!
We visited with Grams and Gordon.
As we were getting ready to go to Grandma Fuller's place, I asked Madelyn what she wanted to do while we were there.  She said, "I want chocolate." I think she has the right idea of Grandma Fuller.
Decorating the tree together for family home evening.
You can't beat snuggle time with daddy.

Ethan's Baby Blessing

On December 7th, we blessed Ethan.

Madelyn loved all the visitors.  It turned out to a fairly warm day for December, so we could go outside and visit we had a soup luncheon following the blessing.
We had Roger, Jill, Grandma Fisher, Jana, Connor, as well as Adam's family from Todd's family.  Then, Glen, Sara Ann, Mary Gene, Greg, Becky, and Dallin came from my side of the family.
 Four Generations
Papa and Grandma
Dallin, my nephew and Connor, Todd's cousin are both attending BYU.

Maddie walked right into Adam's family picture.

November

During November, Ethan turned 1 month.
Madelyn packed to go see Papa and Grandma for Thanksgiving.  She frequently carries her suitcase around, the same one I played with growing up
We enjoyed our time with Roger and Jill with a wonderful Thanksgiving meal and a nice time visiting with family.

During October

During Ethan's first bath, Madelyn was right there wanting to help.

She says, "I hold you" meaning either "I want you to hold me" or "I want to hold Ethan".

As Madelyn is learning to dress herself, she did go through the phrase of taking her clothes off.

Todd was a wonderful father and took Madelyn to the park several times during his lunch break to get her out of the house and let me take a nap.
I brought the box of costumes down for Halloween, Maddie Jane enjoyed playing with several of the dress-up items.
Meet Georgie the Giraffe.  He is the newest toy that she loves to play with.  He has attended several tea party, ridden in her stroller to go shopping, or done his hair.  (she placed a rubber band, that I use to do her hair, on top of his head.
As we were packing up to spend a few days at the Fishers, I think Madelyn started understanding the idea of packing to go to Grandma's.  When I came back in the room, she had added a few things to my bag.
