Provo River Rafting II

Floating down the Provo River is always an adventure! We rented the raft, ate our picnic at the park, and jumped in.
The best part of the ride was seeing the boys jump in.  Uncle David was the bravest as he jumped in the freezing water first.
Then Drew decided to get it a try, and after about one second of being in the water, he yelled "I'm ready to get back in!"  David grabbed Drew by his life jacket, picked him up out of the water, and threw himself and Drew backwards getting Drew back on the raft.

Same thing happened with Dayton, as you can tell by his expression, that he wanted David to quickly get him back on board.
Dallin was smart and just jumped in about half way  Here's the freezing cold boys having a great time!

The rest of us just enjoyed the ride. I was the photographer.

Devin and Danica held on to the rope while the rest paddled.
Todd was the river guide and did a great job with navigating the large raft and slightly inexperienced paddlers down the Provo River.
Debbie said she had been looking forward to this river run and did a great job helping to paddle.  She made it look so fun that Devin wanted a turn.

By the end, even Danica wanted her turn to paddle the raft.  We had a blast down the river!

Dave and Debbie Family's Visit

Todd and I hosted Dave, Debbie, and family, and had a wonderful time.  Dave was kind to let us go play while he stayed at the house and worked.  Todd knew it was going to be fun, and took the day off to go with us.  Gordon took us all out to eat at Chili's for lunch.

After lunch, we sat around at Grams' place and listened to her stories.  We heard some of the best ones!
That evening, we played Yahtzee (first time in my life to get two Yahtzees in one game!)
The boys played basketball.  Todd sure does love the basketball court in his backyard and for people coming to visit so he can use it. Thank you!

Post race and Russ' Family

That Saturday evening, Russ' family came back to spend their last night here.  David came over and definitely was worn out after the race.  We all gathered around the TV and watched the NBA playoff game.  Then off to bed for the kids.
Russ and Todd pulled out the maps to figure out how his family was going to drive home.  It reminded me of my dad as he would get out the maps before we went on vacation to figure out where we were going.
We loved having Russ and Jenny's family stay with us.

Jenny and David's race

Jenny and David ran in the Utah Valley race.  We went to go cheer.
We saw David come in after a very tough race.
We are proud of our runners!

Russ and Jenny's Family

We were so excited to have Russ, Jenny, and family come visit us.  After their long car ride, they were very happy to get out.  I think Matthew enjoyed the homemade ice cream after the long ride.

Todd was the best uncle, playing with the kids, joking around with them, making them laugh.  He pretended to be a Russian Santa Claus, and asked what they wanted for Christmas in a Russian accent.  It made the kids crack up.  Todd said that I was Mrs. Claus and Mrs. Claus was actually the one with the big belly.
Little Miracle: Jenny drove about 200 yards from our house and ran out of gas.  Glad we were right behind them and got the gas can!

For McKay's birthday we went to the Alpine Slide.
 Up the chairlift

 Slide down the mountain!

Since McKay turned 12, he joined the ranked with the "big boys" and they got to ride the coaster too.
Todd and I were glad we had time with the ladies in our backseat, singing and dancing, getting us ready for our own little girl.
We stopped at Grandma Fuller's, visited, and had a famous Grandma's ice cream drumstick.
That evening, we met up with the Todds' for dinner and FHE.
We played kickball and frisbee and enjoyed a beautiful evening.  Thanks for visiting!

Todd's Birthday Party

We hosted the "biggest party of the year" at our house.  It was so fun to have the family come down to help us celebrate Todd's birthday.  We had dinner---Todd requested Fisher traditional foods.
Roger and David won the water balloon toss.
Everyone was waiting for Todd to get off the phone (thanks for the bday calls) to attack him with water balloons!
Todd loved the cards and presents.  Thank you!
After opening the presents, it was round two of the water balloons.
One, two, three, turn around and throw!
Todd had a blast running around trying to dodge all the balloons.

Time to Work on the Yard!

Todd has been so dedicated on improving the yard.

David, Patrick, and Beth came over to help us plant our peach trees.
Todd and I (mostly Todd) spent countless hours preparing the ground and de-rocking the plot for the garden.
Then it was finally time to plant!  We have tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, watermelon among other things.
Can't wait to see what grows!
